for the Month of January 2022
ARRESTS
Criminal Mischief and Public Drunkenness, January 1, 2022, W. Court Street, Doylestown Borough – Matthew Knight, M/21, Pipersville, PA, was arrested on the above offense after police were called for a male who smashed a vehicle window. Police located Knight asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was not his. Knight presented with a strong odor of alcohol, blood shot, and glassy eyes. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Disorderly Conduct, January 1, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Moises Chovon, M/22, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense for public urination. A Citation was issued.
Disorderly Conduct, January 1, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – David Martell, M/29, Furlong, PA, was cited for the above offense after police found him urinating in public. A Citation was issued.
Trespassing, January 1, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Emanuel Boyd, M/33, Philadelphia, PA, was arrested for the above offense after police were called to McDonald’s for an unwanted subject. Boyd had been told on numerous occasions not to return to the property or he would be charged with Trespassing. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Disorderly Conduct, January 2, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Steven Spencer Jr., M/21, Souderton, PA, was cited for the above offense after police found him doing burnouts in a parking lot. A Citation was issued.
Simple Assault, January 9, 2022, North Street, Doylestown Borough – Erik Berger, M/53, Doylestown, PA, was arrested on the above charge after police were called to a domestic disturbance. Berger escalated a verbal altercation and caused physical harm to the victim. Berger was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $20,000 with conditions, and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
DUI Arrest, January 14, 2022, Doyle Street, Doylestown Borough – Samantha Higginson, F/21, Pipersville, PA, was arrested on the above charge after police witnessed her vehicle turn left on a red traffic light and conducted a traffic stop. Higginson told the officer that she didn’t have her license because it was suspended. She presented with glassy eyes and appeared to be nervous and jittery. When she exited her vehicle police noticed pills on the driver’s seat as well as a strong odor of marijuana. Higginson was taken into custody and transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Criminal Mischief to Automobiles, January 14, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Michael Dutkiewicz, M/23, Warrington, PA, was charged with the above offense after witnesses told police that they saw him punch the window of a vehicle parked across the street. A Citation was issued.
DUI Arrest, January 20, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Jennifer Zummo, F/42, Doylestown, PA, was arrested on the above charge after police responded to a traffic accident. Zummo presented with blood shot/glassy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and failed field sobriety tests. She was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Public Drunkenness, January 22, 2022, E. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Robert Lento, M/47, Jamison, PA, was cited for the above offense after police responded to a call of a male vomiting on the sidewalk. Lento was located trying to enter an unoccupied parked vehicle. He presented with slurred speech, an odor of alcohol, and was unsteady on his feet. A Citation was issued.
Ordinance Violation, January 28, 2022, Union Street, Doylestown Borough – Earl Carlos, M/32, Jenkintown, PA, and Sasha Warren, F/20, Elkins Park, PA, were cited for soliciting for Ready Refresh without a permit. Citations were issued.
Drug Arrest, January 30, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Joseph Hyland, M/33, Perkasie, PA, was arrested on the above charge. Police witnessed Hyland urinating in public and approached him. They found him to be unsteady on his feet, presented with slurred speech and was unable to follow simple directions. While in custody police discovered he was in possession of marijuana. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Simple Assault Arrest, January 30, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – James O’Brien, M/45, Phoenixville, PA, was arrested on the above charge after police responded to the report of an assault at a local establishment. O’Brien as found inside with blood on his hands and shirt. When approached by police, O’Brien admitted to getting into a fight with the victim. O’Brien was taken into custody and the victim was transported to Doylestown Hospital due to his injuries. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Drug Arrest, January 31, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Justin Way, M/38, Doylestown, PA, was arrested on the above charge after a traffic stop led police to discover drug paraphernalia in his possession. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Theft, January 10, 2022, 44 E. State Street (Cyborg One), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person stole Pokemon merchandise from the store.
Criminal Mischief to Public Buildings, January 9, 2022, 20 E. State Street (County Theater),Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) spray painted the sidewalk in front of the theater door.
Theft, January 15, 2022, 100 Town Center, New Britain Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a stop sign from the entrance at Lenape Drive.
