ARRESTS

12/03/23 – CRIMINAL TRESPASS, DEFIANT TRESPASS, 555 N. Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough – Cory Michael Harris, M/29, no fixed abode, was charged with the above offenses after trespassing on private property. Harris was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $5,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.

12/04/23 – FORGERY, THEFT BY DECEPTION, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY & IDENTITY THEFT, 697 N. Main Street (Eagle Power Turf & Tractor), Doylestown Borough – Tariq Robert Bennett, M/28, of Philadelphia, turned himself in on an Arrest Warrant for the above offenses. Bennett fraudulently purchased a Kubota tractor on October 11, 2023. Bennett was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $25,000 with restrictions and released.

12/06/23 – DUI, FLEEING OFFICER & OTHER CHARGES, Park Avenue, Chalfont Borough – Jack Arturo Coller, M/22, of Chalfont, PA, was charged with the above offenses when police observed known driver operating vehicle with suspended license and suspended insurance. When police attempted the vehicle stop, Coller accelerated at a high rate of speed alluding police. Police proceeded to Coller’s home address and found the vehicle parked on the roadway, against traffic, in front of the residence. Coller was taken into custody with subsequent legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. Coller was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $50,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.

12/07/23 - DUI, OPERATING W/O IGNITION LOCK & OTHER CHARGES, Swamp Road & North Street, Doylestown Borough – Sean McLaughlin-Turner, M/27, of Eddystone, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for tail lights not operational during a time of day when required. Turner possesses an ignition interlock license and was driving a vehicle that was not equipped. He presented with bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of marijuana. Turner agreed to a search of the vehicle where illegal substances and paraphernalia were found. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.

12/09/23 – PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Jason Myres, M/50, of Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after police observed Myres having difficulty walking. Myres presented with a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech. A Citation has been filed.

12/11/23, MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT, Logan Street, Doylestown Borough – Two juveniles were charged with the theft of a Mazda CX30 taken from a residence on Logan Street and later recovered in Warwick, PA. Juvenile Allegations have been filed.

12/12/23, THEFTS FROM VEHICLES, N. Broad Street, Doylestown Borough – Three juveniles were charged with the above offense for entering three vehicles on N. Broad Street and stealing items. Juvenile Allegations have been filed.

12/12/23 – BURGLARY, CRIMINAL TRESPASS, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DRUG VIOLATION, 205 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough - Police were dispatched to Gianni’s Pizza on December 12, 2023, at approximately 12:05 AM after the owner was alerted to a male inside the closed restaurant. Police found Walter Wright, M/45, no fixed abode, in the restaurant’s kitchen. The establishment was in complete disarray with food, drink and trash scattered throughout. Following review of surveillance footage, it was determined Wright entered the store through the front door during the early evening hours of December 11, 2023. Wright was arraigned, bail set and remanded to Bucks County Prison.

12/13/23 – FORGERY, THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 60 N. Main Street (C&N Bank), Doylestown Borough – Jakyn Powell, M/20, of Philadelphia, PA, was taken into custody on an Arrest Warrant on December 13, 2023, for the above offenses. On June 26, 2023, C&N Bank cashed a fraudulent check, in the amount of $1,752.52, and gave the cash to Powell.  The original check, in the amount of $52.52, was altered and made out to Powell. In November 2023, C&N Bank brought their closed investigation to CBRPD for criminal charges against Powell. Once all investigative material was confirmed by CBRPD, a subsequent Arrest Warrant was issued on December 12, 2023. Powell was taken into custody when he appeared before court on other charges in Montgomery County on December 13, 2023. Powell was transported to CBRPD, arraigned, bail set at $15,000 unsecured and released.

12/17/23 – DEFIANT TRESPASS, 110 S. West Street (Construction site), Doylestown Borough -  Christopher Christian Jones, M/22, no fixed abode, was charged with the above offense after police responded to a complaint of trespassing on private property. Jones was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $5,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.

12/26/23 – BAD CHECKS, 85 Bristol Road (Bauman Crane), Chalfont Borough – Richard Jay Winiewicz, M/46, of Plains, PA, was charged with the above offense after providing a check with insufficient funds to pay for Bauman Crane services that were delivered in June 2023. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.

12/27/23 - DUI, Lamp Post Road, New Britain Borough – A juvenile was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for speeding. The juvenile presented with a strong odor of marijuana. Field sobriety tests were failed and the juvenile was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.

12/30/23 – RETAIL THEFT, 480 N. Main Street (Acme Markets), Doylestown Borough – A juvenile was charged with the above offense after stealing a case of Black Cherry White Claw. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.

12/31/23 – BURGLARY, CRIMINAL TRESPASS, THEFT & OTHER CHARGES, 194 W. Ashland Street (Tap House), Doylestown Borough – A juvenile was arrested for the above charges after Officers responded to a burglary in progress. The rear glass door of the establishment was smashed, and several bottles of liquor were stolen from the bar area. During a search of the surrounding area, stolen bottles were found, and the juvenile was taken into custody. The juvenile appeared to be visibly intoxicated with glassy bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Medical clearance was obtained and the juvenile was remanded to Bucks County Youth Center. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.

Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

CRIME AND OTHER INCIDENTS

12/05/23 – THEFT OF BICYCLE, 194 W. Ashland Avenue (Taphouse Tavern), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a charcoal gray Shimano Mountain Bike, valued at approximately $400, from outside rear entrance to the establishment.

12/07/23 – THEFT FROM VEHICLE, 700 E. Butler Avenue (Delaware Valley University), New Britain Borough – Unknown person(s) stole $2,000 worth of items from a parked, unlocked vehicle.

12/10/23 – THEFTS FROM VEHICLES, 311 W. State Street (Living Hope), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) entered several parked vehicles. The ignition was ripped out of one vehicle, other vehicles had items tossed about and one pair of air pods were taken.

12/12/23 - THEFT, 350 S. Main Street (Lindsay Knight Associates), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a Christmas potted plant from the rear entry.

12/13/23 - THEFT, Taylor Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a USPS delivered package from the front door of a residence.

12/16/23 - THEFT, Pennsylvania Avenue, Chalfont Borough – Unknown person(s) stole two wheel shrouds from a vehicle parked at a residence during the overnight hours.

12/18/23 – CRIMINAL MISCHIEF TO AUTO, Union Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) slashed two passenger-side tires of vehicle parked in a resident’s driveway during the overnight hours.

12/24/23 – MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT, W. Hamilton Street, Chalfont Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a 2021 white Jeep Track Hawk during the overnight hours from the victim’s driveway.

12/26/23 – RETAIL THEFT, 132 Veteran’s Lane (Wine & Spirits), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person stole a liquor bottle from the store.

12/28/23 - THEFT, S. Clinton Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) stole a catalytic converter from a parked vehicle during the overnight hours.
