On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at approximately 10:13 PM, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department (CBRPD) responded to a high-priority emergency call reporting a critical incident in the Clear Springs Court section of Doylestown Borough.
Upon arrival, officers established a perimeter and initiated emergency protocols. Following a tactical assessment and communication with the residents of the targeted home, it was determined that the report was a "swatting" incident—a false report intended to trigger a massive, armed police response.
Swatting is not a prank; it is a serious criminal act that endangers our community and our first responders. These incidents divert critical resources away from legitimate emergencies and cause unnecessary trauma to innocent residents.
The CBRPD, in coordination with the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, is actively investigating the origin of the call. Similar swatting hoaxes in Bucks County have previously led to criminal charges against those responsible.
