On October 15, 2026, the police responded to a domestic violence incident in Doylestown Borough, resulting in the arrest of Nathaniel Reis, Jr., a 38-year-old male from Doylestown Borough.
Reis, who is known to the victim, allegedly grabbed the victim's neck with both hands and pushed them against a wall, stating "I'll kill you." The victim was thrown to the ground, causing their face to hit the floor and resulting in brief loss of consciousness. A minor child, who was hiding in a closet, was also struck in the head when Reis threw open the closet door.
Reis fled the scene prior to police arrival but was later spotted by the Doylestown Township Police Department, who conducted a car stop. CBRPD arrived on scene and took Reis into custody.
Reis was arraigned and bail was set at 10% of $250,000. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
