Criminal charges were filed Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in the 2016 shooting death of Robert Colter III. Dwayne J. Lynch, 29, Rodney N. Beaty, 27 and Jaquan N. Wilkerson, 19, are charged with Criminal Homicide and Conspiracy to commit Criminal Homicide and related charges in connection to the case that dates back to February 16, 2016. All three suspects are in the custody of correctional facilities. 

On the evening of Tuesday, February 16, 2016, Robert Colter III was standing on the sidewalk outside of a home on the 500 block of Bath Street in Bristol Borough when gunmen opened fired, striking Colter once in the head before fleeing. Police arrived following the gunshots and Colter was transported to Aria-Torresdale Hospital (now Jefferson-Torresdale) for treatment. Robert Colter III succumbed to his injuries the following afternoon.
