Bristol Borough Police along with the Bristol Borough Fire Company responded to the report of a natural gas leak on the 900 block of Wood Street which took place at approximately 8:30am May 12th.   A natural gas service was struck by a contractor who was working on a sewer line.  Police and firefighters evacuated the 900 block as a precaution.   PECO responded to the scene and secured the gas leak.  The Bucks County Rescue Squad stood by while the gas leak was secured.  Bristol Borough Emergency Management was on scene and coordinated shelter for the displaced residents.
