Summary of Incident:
At 10:35 am, on 08/26/2022, the Bucks County 911 dispatchers advised the Bedminster Township Police that the PA State Police were dispatched to an address in Kintnersville, PA for the report of a subject armed with a gun.
Shortly thereafter, information was received that this individual was traveling in a vehicle on Ridge Road in Bedminster Township. PA State Troopers and Bedminster Township Police responded and located the subject in his vehicle on Ridge Road, between Elephant Road and Bucks Road. The first responding officers and troopers made observations that led them to believe the male was a danger to himself and began negotiations. Police also took steps to ensure the safety of the community by closing Ridge Road between Elephant Road and Bucks Road.
The Central Bucks Special Response Team responded and contained the situation on the roadway to allow police negotiators to speak with the male. At 2:07 pm, the male peacefully surrendered to police at the scene and was transported to a crisis center. There is no safety concern for the public at this time and no criminal charges pending.
