Crime Items of Interest

• On 04/12/2023, damage to a fence at a tot-lot in Bedminster Hunt East was reported by the property management company.

• On 04/13/2023, we received a complaint from a Township business that their computer system was taken over by hackers demanding a bitcoin ransom.  We were able to work with their IT professionals to refer them to the FBI office that investigates these types of crime for our area.

• On 04/18/2023, an attempted fraud complaint was reported by a resident involving the sale of their used RV online. 

• On 04/23/2023, a retail theft from the Wine and Spirits Store was reported.  

• On 04/25/2023, a domestic disturbance resulted in the arrest of a juvenile female for threats and assault against a family member.

• On 04/27/2023, a 54-year-old male Philadelphia resident was sentenced to 5-10 years in state prison for the July 2021 drug delivery to a 24-year-old Bedminster woman that resulted in her death.  This was the second conviction in this case, as the supplier to this male also pled guilty. 
• We conducted 8 search warrants related to ongoing investigations.

Traffic Items of Interest 

• We handled (1) reportable (towing and/or injury) traffic accidents. There were no critical injuries reported.

Traffic Enforcement

• 117 traffic enforcement details were conducted.  
• 50 traffic citations were issued.
• 37 traffic warnings were given.
•  On 04/05/2023, at 9:04 pm, a traffic stop on 611 led to drug and weapons charges filed against a 34-year-old female Upper Black Eddy resident.
• On 04/10/2023, at 3:28 pm, a traffic stop on 611 led to the arrest of a 41-year-old male Broadheadsville resident on outstanding warrants.
• On 04/11/2023, at 11:01 am drugs were recovered from a traffic stop on 611 of a 37-year-old male Philadelphia resident which resulted in charges being filed. 
• On 04/11/2023, at 12:30 pm, a traffic stop on 611 led to the arrest of a 55-year-old male Kintnersville resident on outstanding warrants.
• On 04/16/2023, at 1:34 am, a traffic stop for speeding and failure to dim highbeam headlights resulted in the DUI arrest of a 28-year-old female Ferndale resident.

• Community Policing
  • Officers participated as part of the testing proctors for the law enforcement program at the Technical School for their final senior practical exams on the morning of April 26^th.
  • We conducted 53-foot patrols of our schools.
  • New programs were instituted by the Community Relations Specialist at both the Tech School and Elementary School.

  • Beginning victims' compensation paperwork for 3 victims
  • Referred 6 residents to the county co-responder
  • Planned officer participation in school events - elementary school
    • Started operation recess in which officers interact with students while at recess to build trust
    • Started safety education program with Elementary Students
