This evening, June 19, 2023 at 1752 hrs, Police were dispatched to a pond located at Vaux and Hickory Roads in New Britain Borough for a missing 9 year-old boy. Upon arrival, police saw a boy’s bicycle with a fishing pole next to it. A quick canvass of the pond produced no results. A dive team from Point Pleasant Fire Department responded and located the young boy within a few minutes. He was transported to Doylestown Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 1901 hrs. The area is still an active scene with police presence.
