Public safety begins with partnership. Early in 2025, community members came forward with concerns about the illegal sale of high-potency THC products to juveniles. The West Reading Police Department, working alongside the Berks County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, conducted a months-long investigation that resulted in the execution of search warrants, the seizure of controlled substances, and arrest warrants issued on February 9, 2026.

 

We are grateful to the residents who spoke up and helped bring these concerns to light. Together, by staying vigilant and working side by side, we continue to strengthen the safety and well-being of everyone who lives, works, and visits West Reading.
