The West Reading Police Department joins the Central Berks Regional Police Department and the entire community in mourning the loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who tragically lost her life in the line of duty on Friday, May 29th.

This evening, a procession will escort Officer Yeager from Reading Hospital to Lutz Funeral Home, and we invite the community to come out and pay their respects to her service and sacrifice. The procession is scheduled to take place at 8pm, and to facilitate this event, there will be road closures in the borough starting at 7pm.

The following roads will be closed:

• Spruce Street between S 5th Avenue and S 7th Avenue
• S 6th Avenue between Chestnut Street and Reading Health Lane

The procession will travel on S 5th Avenue to Penn Avenue and then on Penn Avenue to the West Shore Bypass. We encourage all residents to come out and line the streets to honor Officer Yeager's ultimate sacrifice.

Let us come together as a community to pay tribute to Officer Yeager's bravery, dedication, and selflessness. Her service to our community will never be forgotten.
