On April 30, 2025, Spring Township Police were dispatched to Kohl's for a report of a theft by an employee. Upon arriving on location, Sarah MENDOZA was being interviewed by Loss Prevention and a Kohl's manager. Prior to police arrival, MENDOZA had provided a written statement admitting to the theft of cash from the registers over a period of a few days, as well as the retail theft of two items on a single date. The total loss to the store was $865.00. Ultimately, Sarah MENDOZA was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property.
