On May 3, 2026, Spring Township Police were dispatched to Kohl's for a retail theft. Kohl's Loss Prevention supervisor stated a male was shoplifting in the store. The male placed multiple layers of clothing from the store on in the fitting room and exited the store and left the parking lot in a black Ford sedan.
Police located a black Ford Fusion, in the Dick's Sporting Goods parking lot. Corey MCCABE was in the driver's seat of the vehicle. MCCABE had a pair of wire cutters on his person, presumed to be used to cut security tags. Within the vehicle was $1058.00 worth of stolen merchandise from Kohl's. Ultimately, Corey MCCABE was arrested for Retail Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possessing Instrument of Crime.
