On December 27, 2025, Spring Township Police were dispatched to Target for a male on location attempting to return stolen items.  The male fled the store prior to police arrival. 

It was reported to police that a male picked up plastic Target bags and went to the bedding department. The male then picked up bed sheets and proceeded to place them in the bag and went up to Customer Service. The male attempted to return the bags but was denied the return. After his return was denied, the male proceeded to exit the store and bypass all points of sale. Asset Protection Team leader stated the male successfully completed a return fraud on December 21, 2025.  In the earlier incident, the male returned bed sheets and was issued a gift card for $70.

After an investigation, David HEIM was arrested for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
