Officers were invited to visit Sinking Spring KinderCare in South Heidelberg today as part of the center’s summer camp theme, “Superheroes in Training.” It was wonderful to see so many campers wearing their favorite Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Batman shirts, shorts and sneakers. During the visit, Officer Baxter spoke with the children about the duties and capabilities of K9 Aldo. The campers had the opportunity to pet K9 Aldo, explore the police car, and ask questions of Detective Sergeant Heiden and Cadet Griffith. We had a great time explaining our job and building positive relationships with the children. The South Heidelberg Township Police Department would like to extend a special thank-you to KinderCare for inviting us to be part of the Superheroes in Training program.
