The victim a 22 year old female arrived home in the morning hours and discovered her home had been broken into. She exited the home and went out and called her father who lives adjacent to the residence. As she was standing outside of the residence the neighbor and burglary suspect Samantha Kelley came over and started a confrontation with the victim. The victim attempted to get into her car and was ripped out of the car by the suspect. The suspect then used a pair of hedge clippers to beat the 22 year old female victim about the head. The father of the victim showed up and confronted the suspect and was also struck by the suspect several times. The suspect then jumped into the victims car and locked herself inside. Caernarvon Twp. Police arrived and removed the suspect from the vehicle and took her into custody after a brief struggle. The suspect was remanded to the custody of the Berks County Jail.
