Morning update.
As we prepare for the potential largest snowfall since 2010, we'd like to highlight some key areas of concern.
🅿️ 🚗 Parking:
- For efficient snow removal, please move your vehicles off the street if possible. If you have off-street parking, please use it. This will reduce the area you need to shovel later.
- Avoid parking within 30 feet of intersections, as this creates visibility issues for larger vehicles, including snowplows. This also includes parking in fire lanes and on sidewalks.
- Illegally parked vehicles or those obstructing snow removal may be subject to parking enforcement. We have been working with our public works department and residents to identify challenging areas and find alternative parking solutions.
👮🚓 Police services:
- The police department provides 24/7 coverage, but response times may vary depending on the nature of the call and weather conditions.
- If you need immediate police assistance, dial 911.
- For non-emergency incidents or reports, use our online feature, which allows you to add photos to your submission, such as for hit-and-run incidents.
🏠🤝 Personal and neighborly tips:
- Ensure your vehicle has at least half a tank of fuel.
- Exercise caution with space heaters and avoid using your oven for heating.
- Avoid traveling unless necessary.
- Charge your devices and stock up on medications.
- Take this opportunity to meet your neighbors, fostering a strong community that can support each other in times of need. (🤔 You may even be able to help your neighbor by securing their permission to park in their driveway and also benefit you 🤔)
Thank you for your support and cooperation in keeping our community safe.
