We have received a number of calls regarding yellow lines being painted on curbs establishing no parking areas.  These areas are being marked to either coincide with PA law or for public safety reasons.  The current PA law related to parking is attached in a PDF.  The public safety reasoning for no parking areas is mostly in locations where a fire vehicle could not navigate if vehicles were to park in the spaces.  

We understand that parking is a premium in many locations of Bellevue.  We must place public safety above convenience and ensure intersections are clear, hydrants are open and emergency vehicles can quickly respond.  We appreciate the cooperation of everyone.
