Child Car Seat Check Event - April 25, 2026

The Corning Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety of our community's youngest members. As part of this effort, we are excited to announce a Child Car Seat Check Event, taking place on April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Corning Fire Department

This free event is open to the public and aims to educate parents and caregivers on the proper installation and use of child car seats. Our certified technicians will be on hand to inspect your car seat, provide guidance on correct installation, and offer helpful tips to ensure your child's safety while traveling.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), proper car seat use can reduce the risk of fatal injury by up to 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers.
