On September 26th, 2026, Corning Police Officers responded to East Third St. for the report of an motor vehicle accident. Following an on-scene investigation, the operator, 32 year-old Taylor A. Pieters of Corning, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Ms. Pieters was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree (felony) and Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 of 1% Alcohol in Blood. Ms. Pieters was processed on the arrest at the Corning Police Dept. and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Corning City Court at a later date.
