On May 2nd, 2026, Corning Police Officers arrested 49 year-old Simbarashe Maphosa, of Painted Post, following a traffic stop on W. Pulteney St. Mr. Maphosa was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08% or More Alcohol in Blood. Mr. Maphosa was processed at the Corning Police Department and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Corning City Court on a later date.
