On October 7th, 2026, Corning Police Officers responded to a local appartment complex for the report of a disturbance. Following Officers' investigation 28 year-old Gavin M. Lewis, of Corning, was taken into custody. Mr. Lewis was arrested for Assault 2nd (felony) and Resisting arrest. Mr. Lewis was processed on the arrest at the Corning Police Dept. and subsequently transported to the Steuben County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
