On January 28th, 2026, Corning Police Officers were dispatched to a domestic incident in the City of Corning. Officers were advised that the male subject had left the area. On January 29th, 37 year-old Eric T. Bebout, was located and taken into custody. Mr. Bebout was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree (felony), Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree (felony), Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree (felony), Aggravated Family Offense (felony), Robbery 3rd (felony) and Menacing 2nd. Mr. Bebout was was processed on the arrest at the Corning Police Dept. and subsequently transported to the Steuben County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
