Around 1:20pm on February 15th, a traffic stop was conducted by New York State Police on Taft Avenue in the town of Union. Narcotics investigators from the NYSP and Vestal PD were called to the scene where they conducted a roadside investigation.
The passenger of the vehicle was found to be in possession of approximately 38.1 grams of suspected fentanyl. He was also in possession of a scale, packaging and small blender, all used in the packaging and sale of narcotics.
The defendant, Ricardo Cade, 48, of Philadelphia, Pa. was charged with the following;
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, Intent to Sell – PL 220.16 (1) – Class B Felony
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd – PL 220.16(12) – Class B Felony
• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd – PL 229.50(2) – Class A Misdemeanor
• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd – PL 229.50(3) – Class A Misdemeanor
