Town Snow Ordinance – Winter Parking Reminder
As another winter storm approaches this weekend, the Town is urging all residents to follow the local snow‑parking ordinance to help keep our community safe and our roads fully accessible.
Keeping alternate sides of the streets clear is essential so our Department of Public Works plow drivers can do their job efficiently and safely. Even a single vehicle parked in violation of the snow ordinance can block plow routes, create dangerous narrow passages, and prevent crews from fully clearing snow and ice.
Cleared roads mean:
-
Safer travel for all motorists
-
Faster emergency response times
-
More effective snow removal throughout the town
-
Reduced risk of accidents and property damage
Your cooperation directly supports the safety of your neighbors, our plow operators, and first responders who rely on these roads during winter storms. Please move your vehicles in whenever the ordinance is in effect and encourage others to do the same.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe and moving during winter weather.
