On May 2, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Milton Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Park Royal Apartments. It was learned that a 17-year-old male suspect brandished a handgun and demanded $500 from another juvenile male. After receiving the money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. the Milton Police Department, along with the assistance of the Delaware State Police and Dewey Beach Police Department K9 unit, officers quickly located the suspect at a nearby residence and took him into custody.
The juvenile suspect, whose identity is being withheld, was arrested and formally charged with multiple crimes, including:
-Robbery in the First Degree
-Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Aggravated Menacing
-Possession of a Firearm by Persons under 21
-Possession of Ammunition for a Firearm by Persons under 21
-Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine
The suspect was processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 3, where he was committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $48,501 cash bond.
