Incident Summary

On 04/28/2026, officers responded to a welfare check at 141 Birch Street, following a report from Hudson Elementary School.

After establishing probable cause, Kirk Bloom and Amanda Bloom were taken into custody without incident. They are facing charges of felony child abuse and false imprisonment.

As a result of the incident, an 8-year-old was placed in the care of Child Protective Services (CPS).
