On Friday March 29, 2019 at approximately 1056 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon D, responded to an address on the 700 blk. Columbia Ave. for a report of a burglary where the suspects were still believed to be inside the residence. A caller to 911 had reported that persons were seen and heard inside a condemned property. 

When Officers arrived they spoke with the reporting person. Officers were able to search the residence and located Nicole Dommel F/29 and Ashby Thomas M/32 inside. Neither of them were authorized or permitted to be inside the residence. A check of the residence revealed that a railing had been broken and holes were placed into  drywall. 

Dommel and Thomas were taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster Bureau of Police station. Both were charged with Burglary and Criminal Mischief. Both were later arraigned on their Criminal Complaints and both were committed to LCP in lieu of $25,000 bail. 

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
