The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office is featuring an unsolved major crimes case, monthly, in an effort to renew leads, potentially generate new evidence, and substantiate information that could cultivate an arrest.
Unsolved homicide case: Stanley Black, 55, New Kensington
New Kensington, PA – Westmoreland County Detective Bureau and New Kensington Police continue to investigate the stabbing death of Stanley Black, 55, of New Kensington.
Black was stabbed by an unknown actor on August 16, 2002.
Black was stabbed in the chest and abdomen while walking along the 400 block of Sixth Street in New Kensington, according to investigators.
Black was transported to Allegheny General Hospital where he died two days later on August 18, 2002.
Prior to his death, he relayed to police that he was stabbed by an unknown black man.
Detectives have continued to follow up on information and developed credible leads; however, an arrest has never been made.
