On September 8, 2026, officers received a vape alert from a girl's bathroom at Penn Manor High School.  Following the alert, officers and school staff escorted multiple female students to the office for further questioning. During the investigation, one 17-year-old female student was searched by school employees, leading to the discovery of a vaping device on her person. The student admitted to using the device, which was found to contain marijuana, in the bathroom.  As a result, the student received a citation for disorderly conduct.
