Pike Man Sentenced up for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Milford, Pa.-Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the sentence for possessing child sexual abuse materials filed against a Pike County man in October of 2025. Investigators from the District Attorney’s office charged Adam Rufrano, age 41, of Dingman Township, previously entered a plea of guilty to the crime possession of child sexual abuse material, graded as a third-degree felony. Pike County President Judge Gregory H. Chelak sentenced Rufrano to a total sentence of not less than 8 months up to 23 months in Pike County Correctional facility along with a fine of $1,000.00.

According to the affidavit of probable cause supporting the charges, Detectives at the District Attorney’s Office received information from the Port Jervis Police Department that Rufrano had been going through the process of being hired as a dispatcher with Port Jervis Police Department. The hiring process includes a manual search through the applicant’s cell phone.
