On July 31, 2026, at approximately 6:19 pm, a Forks Township police officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Delaware Drive and Frost Hollow Road. The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Lionel Malaki Monsanto. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and Monsanto admitted there was marijuana in the vehicle. Monsanto consented to a search of the vehicle, which yielded 48.2 grams of suspected marijuana. A field testing kit was utilized, which tested positive for THC. As a result of the incident, Monsanto was charged by criminal complaint with the listed offenses.
