On July 24th, 2026, at approximately 12:11 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market and Marble Streets for a crash which just occurred. Officers arrived and determined a vehicle travelling north on South Market Street attempted to turn left to travel west on West Marble Street. While making the left turn they struck a vehicle travelling south on South Market Street. The driver of the striking vehicle was transported to the hospital by EMS for evaluation of injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the struck vehicle was evaluated on scene but was not transported. Both vehicles were towed due to the damage they sustained in the crash.
