The Steelton Borough Police Department is actively investigating a stabbing that occurred on the evening of Monday, August 3, 2026, in the area of Lincoln Street and Bailey Street.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded to reports that two individuals had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located two juvenile males suffering from stab wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid until EMS arrived, and both victims were transported to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for emergency treatment.
At the time of the incident, both victims were reported to be in unknown but serious condition. We are pleased to report that both have since been upgraded to stable condition.
The preliminary investigation indicates the incident stemmed from an altercation involving a group of juveniles in the area. Investigators are seeking to identify a suspect described as a black male, approximately 14 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, last seen wearing a white T-shirt.
The Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has responded to assist the Steelton Borough Police Department and will lead the continuing criminal investigation.
