The Lock Haven City Police Department is alerting the community about a recent surge in attempted vehicle thefts, primarily targeting Kia models. There is a known issue with Kia vehicles which  have a security vulnerability. Residents are urged to remove all valuables from all vehicles, not just Kia owners, and avoid leaving them unlocked, even if the key is not inside, as this can still make them susceptible to theft.
