On June 19th, 2026, an officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on routine patrol on Route 611 in Swiftwater. At approximately 10:22pm, the officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after the vehicle failed to maintain its lane and did not use its turn signal to indicate a lane change. On making contact with the driver, Brandon M Rogers, a 22-year-old male from the Jermyn area, the officer noted several signs of impairment and conducted a DUI investigation. As a result, Rogers was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Subsequently, Rogers complied with a blood draw, and the results indicate that he had a BAC in excess of the legal limit. Charges have been filed in relation to this incident.
