Greensburg, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces the sentencing of a Trafford man who pleaded guilty to a violent assault on his neighbors.
Anthony Salvadore, 50, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, simple assault, and related charges.
Common Pleas Judge Christopher Feliciani sentenced Salvadore to serve six to 20 years behind bars, in addition to treatment for mental health and anger management.
Salvadore was arrested in December of 2023 after police were dispatched to the area of Seventh Street in Trafford Borough for a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived on scene, police were told a victim was stabbed in the neck and head and was transported to Forbes Hospital by a neighbor.
Bystanders told police that Salvadore stabbed the victim and punched a woman in the chest after an argument ensued among neighbors.
Officers located Salvadore inside of a nearby residence lying on the couch with a bloody folding knife nearby.
Salvadore has been incarcerated since his arrest in 2023.
