North Middleton Township, PA – North Middleton Township is advising residents of temporary road closures and traffic restrictions associated with the 2026 Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit being hosted at Carlisle Barracks on July 14 and 15, 2026.
Residents should expect increased traffic congestion and travel delays in and around Carlisle Barracks during the event. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use alternate routes whenever possible.
Scheduled Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions
Post Road
- Closed to all traffic starting on July 13th @ 10:a.m and will reopen July 16th @ 8:30 a.m.
Claremont Road
The section of Claremont Road between Army Heritage Drive and just beyond Louther Street will have temporary traffic restrictions during the following times:
- July 14 and July 15: 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- July 14: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- July 15: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
During these periods, access will be maintained for event traffic, authorized Carlisle Barracks personnel supporting the event, and local traffic accessing residences and businesses within the affected area.
Potential Additional Restrictions
Depending on operational requirements, additional traffic restrictions may be implemented on July 15 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If necessary, Claremont Road may be temporarily closed to all traffic within the affected area. Any additional changes will be communicated as information becomes available.
