On July 12, 2026, at approximately 0300 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Sheetz in Swiftwater.  Two masked males entered the store, grabbed an employee and instructed another to empty the register and provide cartons of cigarettes.  The actors fled but were followed by a witness who was able to provide a description of the vehicle.  Responding officers arrived on scene, reviewed camera footage and was able to quickly put out a BOLO for the vehicle.  At approximately 0320 hours, the vehicle was located in Mt. Pocono by Pocono Mountain Regional Police, who stopped the vehicle.  The actors were identified as Andre Knighton and Anthony Pena-Vega.  Evidence obtained from Knighton and Pena-Vega linked them to the robbery and they were taken into custody.  Both were transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
