On May 26, 2026, Spring Township Police began an investigation into a retail theft that occurred at Weis Markets on May 25, 2026.  It was reported that Antonio GARCIA went behind the customer service counter and proceeded to steal (2) packs of Salem cigarettes, valued at $14.91 each, and (3) packs of Newport cigarettes, valued at $13.83 each for a grand total of $71.31. GARCIA walked through the self-scans and bypassed all points of sale without making payment. Ultimately, Antonio Garcia Jr. was arrested for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
