Staff and emergency crews have been working since the storm to clear downed trees. Currently the following roads remain impacted and are closed - 200 block of East Main Street, 100 block South Walnut Street, 100 block of West Marble Street, and the intersection of West Elmwood and South High Street. 

The traffic light at the intersection of East Simpson Street and Shepherdstown Road is running on a generator as the power to the light is out. 

Memorial Park is currently closed due to multiple trees down in the area. 

Please use caution when traveling today as more storms are forecasted with heavy rain expected. Do not drive around or remove barricades. Find an alternative route. Do not drive through flooded roadways. Traffic lights with no power are to be treated like a four way stop. 

Emergency crews remain fully functional and are responding to calls. Some areas will be prioritized and it will take some time for crews to clear the roadways. Please remain patient and contact emergency services as needed.
