On Monday, June 29, 2026 at approximately 5:06 p.m., Swatara Township Police officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree at 3243 Paxton Street for a robbery involving a knife.  Upon arrival, officers found a ten year-old male juvenile being detained by store employees and that one of these employees had sustained injuries during the incident.  During their investigations, the officers interviewed multiple witnesses who indicated that the juvenile walked into the store while brandishing a fixed blade knife, threatened an employee and told her to give him money.  Other store employees came to the defense of their co-worker and were able to subdue the juvenile until the police arrived during which one of the employees was stabbed multiple times requiring medical treatment. 

The juvenile was charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possessing an Instrument of a Crime and is currently being held in a secured detention facility pending his court proceedings.
