In July of 2025, the Ambler Borough Police Department investigated a report of a point of gun sexual assault. A several months-long investigation resulted in the arrest of Anderson Danilo Luna-Mazate. Luna-Mazate was apprehended by the US Marshals Service in Union County, New Jersey.  He was extradited back to Montgomery County to stand trial on multiple charges. In June of 2026 Luna-Mazate was found guilty of all charges.
