Driver Faces Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop
On June 14, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a Robeson Township Police Officer conducting traffic enforcement on Kurtz Mill Road observed a vehicle traveling 57 mph in a posted 40 mph zone.
The officer followed the vehicle and witnessed it cross the double yellow centerline multiple times before initiating a traffic stop on Moore Road.
During the stop, a child was found to be present in the vehicle, and the driver, identified as David MAZZARELLI, 47, of Mohnton, PA, exhibited signs of alcohol consumption and admitted to drinking. Field sobriety testing was conducted, and the driver was subsequently taken into custody for suspected DUI.
In addition, MAZZARELLI was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine after informing the officer that he had drugs in his pocket.
As a result of the investigation, MAZZARELLI was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and additional related offenses.
