As summer holidays and seasonal celebrations approach, Warrington Township would like to remind residents of the regulations regarding the use of consumer fireworks within the Township.
Consumer fireworks are permitted only during the following holidays:
On New Year’s Eve, fireworks may be used between the hours of 4:00 pm and 1:00 am. On the remaining permitted holidays, fireworks may be used between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
Additional Township regulations include:
Violations of the Township fireworks regulations may result in enforcement action. Any person, firm, or corporation found in violation may, upon conviction, be required to pay a fine of up to $600, plus costs. If the fine and costs are not paid, the penalty may include imprisonment for up to 90 days. Each day a violation continues, or each separate section of the ordinance that is violated may be considered a separate offense.
Residents are also reminded that fireworks can have significant impacts on veterans with PTSD, pets and wildlife, and the environment due to noise, anxiety, and pollution concerns. The Township encourages all residents to celebrate safely, respectfully, and in accordance with local regulations.
