On May 5, 2026, at approximately 10:41 a.m., the Berwick Police Department responded to a reported domestic disturbance. Officers and EMS located a female victim with visible injuries consistent with an assault. The victim reported being physically assaulted and strangled during an altercation that had occurred in the 100 block of Summerhill Avenue involving 37-year-old Johnnie Angelo Venditti of Berwick.

Venditti was later located and interviewed by police. Charges were filed in connection with the incident.

All persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
