The Hazleton Police Department has been made aware of letters being mailed to community members claiming to be from “Hazleton Police Outreach” requesting donations by check made payable to the “U.S. Deputy Sheriff’s Association.”

Please be advised:
❌ The Hazleton Police Department would NEVER send letters requesting money or donations.
❌ We are NOT affiliated with the U.S. Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
❌ These letters are NOT authorized by our department.

If you receive one of these letters, please do NOT send money or personal information. We ask that you simply throw the letter away.
