On 5/11/26, Shawn Franklin was charged with Hindering the Apprehension, Prosecution, Conviction or Punishment of Another Suspect (M) after telling law enforcement that nobody was inside the store, when in fact, the suspect was hiding in the back from a hit and run.

Franklin is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
