Milford, PA.-The Pike County District Attorney’s Office announced the sentence of a Pike County man who was wanted in connection with charges related to the sexual abuse of children and was arrested in November of 2025 by Seaside Heights Police Department in New Jersey. Everett McKean, age 44, with last known address of Shohola, Pennsylvania previously entered a plea of guilty to the crimes of two counts of Aggravated Indecent Assault – Complainant less than 16 years of age, Indecent Assault of Person Less than 13 years of age, and six counts of Indecent Assault of Person Less than 13 years of age. Pike County President Judge Gregory H. Chelak sentenced McKean to a total sentence of not less than 45 months up to 5 years in a state correctional facility along with a penalty of $2,500.00 pursuant to the Crime Victim Services and Compensation Fund Act.
During an investigation into a report of sexual assault by McKean, there was an additional report of sexual abuse of another individual by McKean. This individual had reported that they had been sexually abused during their childhood between the ages of 7 to 14 by McKean. Both victims are now adults.
Tonkin commended the victims for coming forward after almost twenty years of silence as well as Chief Detective Molly Carson for building this case. “It was the courage of the victims and Chief Detective Carson’s tenacity that built this case.”
McKean will return to New Jersey to complete his sentence on a gun charge and then be brought back to Pennsylvania to serve his sentence in this case.
McKean will be required to register under Pennsylvania Megan’s Law for life.
