On October 10, 2025, the Caernarvon Township Police Department received information regarding a potential case of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) at a residence on Hartman Lane. A witness reported finding disturbing images, including one of a young female child exposing herself, in a printer tray at the property. The witness also found electronic devices and turned them over to the police, suspecting that the former resident, Richard BOYD, may be involved in CSAM.

The police obtained a search warrant and had the devices examined by the Berks County District Attorney Forensic Services Unit. On November 6, 2025, a computer forensic examiner reported finding over 71,000 suspect CSAM images on one device. Further analysis revealed a total of 76,765 flagged CSAM images on the devices.

The investigation is ongoing, and an arrest warrant has been requested for Richard BOYD.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
